Guidelines for Choosing What Toon to Play

by Toobuff, 14 days ago

I want to put out some general guidelines for choosing what toon to play in our guild raids.

Choose toons that are at a state of progression appropriate for the zone we are running:

T1 Raids are for brand new 80's. They allow us to get some raid experience on our new toons and get some raid gear.

Wing 1 Raids are for toons that have at least a half a dozen or so T1 raids under their belt and at least a couple pieces of T1 raid gear.

Wings 2 and 3 are for the more experienced and better played toons. These wings are for veteran raid toons that have been in many many raids, are played well, and have a fairly significant amount of raid gear.

T3 raids will be for our mains. When we begin these raids everyone will be asked to log on to their main - our raid leaders will decide if anyone needs to switch to a different toon in order to optimize our group configurations. If you don't have a main or if you are one of the "I play all my toons equally well" people then I strongly suggest you pick one to be your main. I am not going to bullshit around with this guys - everyone will be asked to play their mains or the toons that our raid leaders ask you to play. After we get some of the stuff on farm status we will lighten up on what toons we bring to these raids. Until then I expect to see the most badass damn toon you have in these raids!

There are always exceptions and these are just general guidelines. But please consider them when you are deciding what toon you want to bring to what raid. By progressing in this fashion then everyone carries their own weight in raids. It's more fair to all of our guildmates and makes for raid groups that have the appropriate firepower so to speak. We can always carry some lame ass alt through any raid zone, but should we have to???? Happy -- you don't want me playing my dt while we are crafting the weapon at Leviathus do you???

I also want to re-emphasize situational awareness when it comes to loot. By and large we are the least loot whorish guild I know of. We generally do a great job of being fair and spreading the loot around. I frequently see people asking who has what gear and passing for toons that can better use items etc. That being said, we need to remain vigilant on the loot. If we get complacent then some piece of loot will go to a toon that it really shouldnt be going to. So remember guys - talk about the loot before it drops, make people aware of who's toon has what gear. Make people aware of mains or primary type toons that may need a certain piece of gear. Be aware of who needs what before you roll.

BRING ON THE T3 BABY --- LET'S SMASH THAT SHIT Happy
